Germs in dentures can lead to pneumonia

Dentures could play a role in causing pneumonia, if they are not cleaned properly, according to a study.
Unclean dentures provide a new surface where disease-causing microbes can colonise. People who wear dentures may then be aspirating (inhaling) saliva containing harmful microbes into their lungs, where an infection can then take hold, said the researchers from Cardiff University, UK.
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੀਤਖੇੜੀ ਲਿੰਕ ਸੜਕ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਨਿਯਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੱਸੋ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਦਾਇਗੀਆਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੋ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸੜਕ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਾਮੀ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ।
